By placing an order, you affirm that you are an individual user and not acting on behalf of a company or organization. Purchases will only be sent to the shipping address defined as that which matches what you have provided on your proof of identity, namely a state-issued Driver’s License or U.S. Passport. In addition, you hereby agree to hold harmless The Old World Emporium, the producers, artisans, shipper, web portal developer and payment administrator for any claims, damages or liability whether indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential. Further, you will respect the intellectual property and tradecraft of said parties by not attempting to mimic, recreate or reproduce in form or in function any of the items on this website. Any attempt at unauthorized access of this website or attempts to manipulate its contents will be reported to the authorities and/or subcontracted to private sources for remedy. These aforementioned clauses, attempts to fraudulently purchase or public intimidation of a customer disclosing their purchase from this website will result in the termination of your account. All sales are final.
As a purchaser, your items have been inspected four times prior to arrival. The first is acceptance of the artisans work by the producer. The second is inspection before shipment to the United States. The third is arrival in the United States. The fourth inspection occurs before shipping to your legal address which is displayed on your Drivers License or U.S. Passport. Prior to shipping, The Old World Emporium will send you via email, the link to a recording. This recording is a video of your items being inspected and packed prior to shipment. This constitutes legal evidence that the items were inspected and packed in good faith. Your shipment will be insured for the amount of purchase along with the surcharge for fragile items. This email will also include a tracking number. It is your responsibility to provide proof of identity and sign for the shipment. No one but you will be authorized to sign for this shipment. This shipment will not be left unattended. If an unforeseen circumstance prevents you from signing for the shipment, it is your responsibility to further coordinate with the shipper. If no coordination takes place, it will be temporarily held at a facility in which you will have to physically go to, provide proof of identity and sign. If enough time has lapsed, the shipment will return to The Old World Emporium. Only at that point will a refund will be generated with the shipping costs deducted. An itemized receipt will be sent via email and will be accompanied by a notification of account termination
